Temple of Light

Empowering individuals, families, and communities for mind-body awareness

and conscious living from a multicultural, interfaith perspective.

Practitioner/Minister Code of Ethics

Integrity. I practice unconditional love for myself and others. I accept personal responsibility for myself and my life and inspire others to do the same. I honor, accept, and will be true to who I am and where I am on my path without judgment, blame, shame, or guilt. I honor and accept each person I encounter for who and where they are. I will do no harm to myself or other living things.

Confidentiality. Personal information gathered in the Minister/client relationship will be held in strict confidence unless there is clear and imminent danger to the client or other persons.

Referral. I will recognize my own limitations when a client’s concerns are beyond my scope of expertise, I will refer them appropriately.

Earth Reverence. I see the Divine in all creation and will empower others to see the beauty in themselves and the world around them. I will acknowledge air-earth-water-fire and their healing properties within and around me.

Planetary/Universal Consciousness. I agree to contribute noble and uplifting thoughts to the planetary web of consciousness.

Spiritual Practice. I will commit to a daily spiritual practice of my choosing. I will try to help others to find their own path to self-empowerment and contentment. I will make a conscious connection to Spirit in my life every day.

Nondiscrimination. I will refrain from discriminating between clients or fellow professionals on the basis of race, creed, age, or gender. I honor diversity in all things.

Lifelong Practice. I will support people of all ages through the process of life from birth to death. With intuition and creativity, I will provide ceremonies for life’s passages.

Humanitarian Service. I will be open and willing to attend to those in need of help without making monetary compensation the primary consideration.

Practitioner as Educator. I will assume the role of educator, doing my best to empower clients in mobilizing their own innate healing abilities and promoting the responsibility of clients to heal themselves. As we heal ourselves, we heal the world.

Client relationship. I agree to respect personal and professional boundaries with my clients. This especially excludes sexual relationships between ministers and clients.

I agree to uphold the Temple of Light Practitioner/Minister Code of Ethics.
